Holidays to UK Are getting Expensive

I have a friend staying in Cardiff. She has been asking me to visit her there and told me that there was lots to do in Cardiff and the surrounding Birmingham area. With winter coming, Cardiff has a beautiful Winter Wonderland scene which starts from as early as 15 November and goes all the way to 6 January 2008. She offered to put me up at her place but I felt a bit bad so asked her to find me some reasonably priced Hotels in Cardiff instead. She told me not to worry as there were lots of cheap but comfortable and clean Cardiff Hotels available and since winter was usually a quiet period, I shouldn’t have much trouble getting a room.

She even offered to help me look for some Birmingham Hotels should I wish to explore Birmingham city and the surrounding area. It was really nice of her to do that but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to travel this period. That, together with the extremely high cost of air tickets, is making trips to Europe very expensive.
